Weekend road closures as Galashiels works continue

Two streets in Galashiels will be closed over the next two Sundays as the latest stage of the town’s inner relief road project causes more disruptions.

Stirling Place and Park Street will be closed for road planning works and resurfacing on Sundays 22nd and 29th January.

Scottish Borders Council say traffic travelling on Channel Street will exit to High Street across the pedestrian zone instead of turning into Park Street.

But special arrangements will be made for business access to Stirling Street, via the existing junction at Market Street, which will be two-way on both Sundays.
