Roadworks ahead as work on Galashiels relief road starts
13 JanuaryThere will be some delays on the roads over the next few days as work on Ladhope Vale has started again as part of the Galashiels Inner Relief Road project.
Currie Road has been reduced to one lane with traffic flow continuing from Ladhope Vale to Station Brae roundabout to allow these works to be undertaken.
It is hoped that that two-way traffic will be re-introduced to Currie Road and Ladhope Vale between Station Brae roundabout and the new Stirling Place junction by the beginning of March.
On Sunday 22nd and 29th January Stirling Place and Park Street will be closed for road planing works and resurfacing.
Traffic in Channel Street will exit to High Street across the pedestrian zone in front of the old Post Office instead of turning into Park Street. Special arrangements will be made for business access to Stirling Street.
