Gala Fairydean have an exciting position available on the committee as Treasurer of Gala Fairydean Football Club.
A team of four primary six pupils from Tweedbank Primary School were crowned top of the class at the Scottish Borders Euroquiz held last week at the Langlee Complex in Galashiels.
The project to reopen the rail line between Galashiels and Edinburgh officially started today. Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson came to Gala to cut the first sod and activate the act of parliament

Scottish Borders Council today opened the new link road in Galashiels. The latest section of the Galashiels Inner Relief Road between Abbotsford Road and Paton Street has been completed.

I have found a web site for letting people know about potholes in our roads and also has the facility for you to report any you know about.
Web site is well used in other areas except the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway so I think we need to get some information onto this so it puts the Scottish Borders on the Map even if it is not for a good reason but should at least let the powers that be know we do have problems on the roads down here just in case they think that we don't. Please report any potholes in our roads that you know about.
