Local rugby star Paterson in welcome return to Scotland squad

Galashiels rugby star Chris Paterson is making a welcome return to the Scotland squad, taking part in a three-day training camp in St Andrews later this month.

The 32-year-old full-back - Scotland's most capped player - has been working hard on his rehabilitation after he suffered kidney damage when he won his 100th cap against Wales back in February. He is now playing a full part in Edinburgh's pre-season training.
