Galashiels charity shop appeals for stock donations
Age Scotland is appealing for stock donations for its Galashiels charity shop. As Christmas approaches, the Charity hopes that people will be making space for new purchases and gifts from Santa. The Galashiels shop would gladly accept any items that no are no longer wanted.
The shop is appealing for good quality donations of clothing, books, videos, DVDs, toys, games, ornaments and general household goods. Profits from sales of these items support Age Scotland’s work across Scotland, including helping to keep people warm over winter, supporting the Age Scotland Helpline and providing grants for local older people’s groups. Stock donations can be collected by the charity.
Age Scotland Retail General Manager, Jason Elder, said: “We are desperate for good quality stock donations and would love to hear from anyone that has items that they no longer need. The profits raised from the shops are fed back into the charity and these funds go towards helping older people across Scotland.”
If you have stock you’d like to donate to the Galashiels charity shop and want to arrange a collection, please call Age Scotland’s Stock Co-ordinator, Chris Stewart, on 07920 537 093 or email him at chris.stewart@agescotland.org.uk.
The Galashiels shop is located at 94 Channel Street, TD1 1BD.
