All set for Fairydean as new Galashiels pitch ready to kick off

The opening of the new 3G pitch for Galashiels at Netherdale, which was delayed by bad weather at the end of last year, is now set to go ahead.

The pitch is set to open on Saturday 28th January, when Gala Fairydean get the chance to play their first 'home' game of the season when they host Preston Athletic on the new surface, with a 2pm kick off.

The pitch passed an inspection on Thursday, meaning Fairydean will be able to play their first game in town of the season.
